The purpose is to identify activities and services that is  able  to  control  and influence  for  identification  and  evaluation  of  significant environmental aspects and impacts.
To  ensure  that  the  significant  environmental  aspects  &  impacts  are  considered  in establishing objectives, targets and management programs.
Environmental aspect is  Element  of  the  organization's  activity,  product  and service that is likely to interact with the environment.
Environmental impact is  Any  change  to  the  environment,  whether  adverse  or  beneficial,  wholly  or  partially  resulting  from  the  activity,  product  and  service  of  the  organization.

Identification of Environmental Aspects:
1.   For  all  activities,  products  and  services  under  normal,  abnormal  and  emergency operating  conditions,  identify  the  actual  and  potential  environmental  aspects  and impacts by evaluating their interactions with the environment through: Legal and local requirement, Identification of waste streams, Process flow chart
2.   Identify  both  the  direct  and  indirect  environmental  aspects  that  can  interact  with environment and their associated environmental impacts. Where relevant, consider: Emission to air, Release to surface water, Waste management, Contamination of land, Use of raw materials and natural resources, Noise, humidity  and dust nuisance, Other local environmental and community issues.
3.   In  addition  to  current  activities,  consideration  shall  be  given  to  relevant  past  and planned activities. This process shall also cover indirect environmental impacts as a result of goods and services purchased.
4.   Identify  all  actual  and  potential,  positive  and  negative,  on-site  and  off-site environmental  impacts  associated  with  each  of  the  identified  aspect.  An environmental  aspect  may  have  multiple  environmental  impacts.  An  environmental aspect may also have different environmental impacts under the respective operating conditions.

Evaluation of Significance Environmental Impact:
1.   Environmental aspects identified as significant shall be managed within the HSEMS so as to prevent, minimize or mitigate the environmental impacts. Where practicable, preventive measures shall be taken into considerations. Depending on the situation, this may entail combinations of the followings: Planned programs for improvement, Controls  to  maintain  performance,  e.g.  operation  control  and  emergency preparedness and response procedures to ensure that they are not deviated from environmental policy, Investigation and development of opportunities for further improvement.
2.   HSE  Manager/HSE  Engineer  shall  overall  maintain  and  update  the  Environmental Aspects.
3.   The significant impacts will then be priority based on existing resources for setting the company's objectives and targets, as well as environmental management programs.

Updating the Environmental Aspects Register:
1.   The Environmental Aspects Register shall be reviewed once in every three years.
2.   When  new/modified  processes,  equipment  or  chemicals  are  introduced,  the  HSEC shall update the Environmental Aspects Register.
